According to his mother, he departed the following morning in his silver 2010 Ford Focus, stating he would call upon arrival but has not been heard from since.

Family members attempted to contact him repeatedly over the following days without success. His last confirmed phone signal was traced to a rest area along Interstate 49 near Alexandria, Louisiana.
