K GROUP UNDERCOVER OPERATIONS - FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION
FIELD OFFICE: NEW ORLEANS
OPERATIONAL BRIEF
Case ID: NOLA-OPS-2025-0427
Date/Time: 28 October 2025 / 0200 CST

MISSION:

Recovery and containment operation following the loss of contact of Team [REDACTED] — last known location Port Charles, LA. Team [REDACTED] was on authorized off-duty rest & recuperation (R&R) following a successful takedown of a ghoul den in Shreveport, LA. They were not engaged in official field operations at the time of loss of contact.
No evidence of supernatural entity or activity known; however, it is highly suspected.

SUMMARY / MISSION STATEMENT:

Responding unit (your team) will deploy to Port Charles, Louisiana to: (1) locate and recover Team [REDACTED] personnel (alive if possible); (2) secure and extract remains and personal effects if necessary; (3) identify, contain, or neutralize any anomalous threat associated with the loss of contact; and (4) preserve forensic and evidentiary material for analysis. This is a moderate-risk recovery operation with limited likelihood of encounter with a memetic or predatory anomaly. Maintain official cover and cohesive coordination with local law enforcement per K Group protocol.

BACKGROUND / CURRENT SITUATION:

• Team [REDACTED]: Decorated K Group tactical operators. Completed Operation SHREVELOCK (ghoul den neutralization in Shreveport) 12 days prior. Deployed on gov-funded R&R in southern Louisiana. Not on official assignment at time of loss of contact.
• Last Known Movements: Team [REDACTED] members were observed via cell tracking and CCTV in Port Charles socializing with local civilians and discussing a purported modeling opportunity tied to the Port. Last verifiable communications/location pings place the group in the Port Charles docks/warehouse district.
• Threat Assessment: Indicators suggest a conventional threat (NOT memetic, mimicry-capable entity, or predatory cryptid); indicators point toward mundane threat that uses social vectors to isolate targets. The environment inside suspected sites (cold-storage, warehouses) presents sensor and mobility hazards (temperature anomalies, slick surfaces, acoustic distortion).
• Additional research has uncovered other recent missings persons cases, tied to the location. FBI assets already looking into civilian side of things, and have shared their dossiers, attached to expanded briefing.

OBJECTIVES (PRIORITIZED):

1) Locate and recover Team [REDACTED] personnel — render aid and exfil alive if possible.

2) If personnel recovery alive is not possible, recover remains and all personal effects with full chain-of-custody.

3) Identify and, where tactically feasible, contain or neutralize any anomalous or mundane threat.

4) Secure all evidence (digital media, biological samples, artifacts) and transport to K Group under standard protocols.

5) Minimize public exposure; coordinate with local PD for controlled perimeter and public safety messaging.

6) If possible, recover civilian missing persons.
AUTHORITY & CONSTRAINTS:

• (your team) operates under FBI authority with cooperation from Port Charles PD. Maintain legal jurisdictional deconfliction; any overt law enforcement action to be coordinated with Field Office Command.
• Team [REDACTED] was off-duty; maintain distinction between official and non-official status in public messaging.
• Use of lethal force follows K Group use-of-force policy and is authorized only when necessary to protect life or stop malicious entities.
