A BRIEF HISTORY OF K GROUP INTERACTIONS WITH
FJALJURE LOKISSON
-----------------

PURPOSE:

This document summarizes known interactions between K GROUP and the mythological entity Fjaljure Lokisson, the son of Loki, one of the most persistent administrative challenges encountered by the organization.

While rarely maliciously hostile, Fjaljure has repeatedly demonstrated a tendency to interfere with operations, investigations, inventories, and occasionally reality itself. Furthermore, his spoiled nature and his father's inability to restrain him, have resulted in many indirect deaths.

---

BACKGROUND

The earliest verified records of Fjaljure Lokisson date to the late nineteenth century, though references matching his description appear in considerably older Scandinavian folklore.

K GROUP first established direct contact in 1914, during a survey mission in Bosnia.

Agents investigating "unusual weather" activity discovered a young Fjaljure, attempting to hamper the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.
The "assassinatioin" was actually an enforcement operation of K Group's, at the request of the Bosnian Gov'mnt, to eliminate what they believed was a Ghoul; he was not, and in those early days, we still had much to learn.

The encounter was otherwise cordial, but we believe it was the beginning of a downward spiral.

It also resulted in the disappearance of three clerks, two sailors, and an entire European Vacation. The European Vacation was eventually recovered; the people were not.

In between WWI and WWII, it is believed that Fjaljure was being held as a POW by the Ice Giants; there was no active war between said giants and Asgard during these years. Per Loki, the boy wanted to be a hero, and rebuffed every rescue attempt. He was tortured, basically at his own insistence. Per Thor, the boy's mind broke long before WWI, when his mother died, and our actions in regards to Ferdinand and his subsequent torture only exacerbated the damage.

THE REYKJAVIK CORRESPONDENCE
(1963–1965)
-----------

Following initial contact, K GROUP attempted to establish formal communication channels. Fjaljure responded regularly and politely, in his own deranged way, when one Dr. Jane Jaborkle took over as primary "pen pal".

The problem was that his responses frequently arrived before the letters that prompted them. While this complicated filing procedures, the information provided was generally accurate. Several investigations were successfully concluded using information obtained in this manner.

The Legal Department objected strongly.

THE HAMMER DISPUTE
(1974)
------

In 1974, Fjaljure submitted formal ownership claims regarding an unidentified artifact believed to be associated with Norse mythological traditions, and the dispute lasted eleven months. During proceedings, Fjaljure demonstrated an extensive knowledge of K GROUP archival procedures, despite never having been granted archive access.

The artifact was eventually recovered by K GROUP. Fjaljure later described the outcome as: "Mostly fair."

To date, this remains one of the organization's most successful negotiations with him; and the last.

THE THURSDAY EVENT
(1988)
------
One of the most tragic incidents involving Fjaljure occurred in 1988. For reasons that were then unclear, Facility 4 experienced widespread memetic disturbances.

It was later discovered, through Correspondence with Loki, that his son had broken the last gift his mother had gotten him; a leather satchel. In his rage, he had "gotten wasted", taken a "trick" too far, and Facility 4 bore the brunt.

All administrative staff were lost; 6 to death, the remaining 19 were reassigned existence as various office supplies and furniture.
Three action teams were wiped out, with the fourth finally taking his attention long enough for Loki to bind his powers to the 9 "Rings of Being Grounded"; these same rings are now being stored in K Group's possession, until such time as Fjaljure makes amends to us; again, per Loki.

The 9 Rings and their effects (if known) are as follows:

The three action teams were later revived, by means of [REDACTED].

THE CHEESE HEARING
(1997)
------

Fjaljure's name surfaced repeatedly during the Sector 9 Cheese Inventory Investigation. While no evidence linked him directly to the disappearance of strategic dairy assets, investigators noted an unusual concentration of sightings in affected areas.

He voluntarily appeared before a review committee. The hearing concluded without findings after a procedural discovery lead to heightened security around the 9 rings; he had been attempting to recover some or all of them.

All 9 were secure. No injuries were reported. The committee room required reconstruction.

---

THE RACCOON INCIDENTS
(2004–2008)
-----------

Between 2004 and 2008, K GROUP experienced a series of increasingly sophisticated raccoon-related events.

Although definitive involvement was never established, multiple field teams reported encounters with Fjaljure in the vicinity of affected sites.

Investigators noted that he consistently appeared unsurprised by raccoon activity.

This observation remains officially meaningless but statistically unignorable.

THE GENEVA HAT SUMMIT
(2019)
------

Fjaljure attended the Emergency Hat Summit in Geneva despite not appearing on any guest list. Over the course of two days, he participated in multiple policy discussions and authored several recommendations regarding international hat security.

While none of the recommendations were adopted, attendees described them as "uncomfortably well researched." His credentials were later discovered to be entirely authentic. However, it is now widely believed this was an attempt to probe our security.

This event lead to us asking Loki for help in securing the rings against his persistent progeny. The trickster god laughed, and said he had just the thing; he would permanently tie the rings to larger building housing their storage and containment system, within Faciility 19. Any attempt to remove them, even by us, now ends in the rings teleporting back into the nearest K Group facility, after 7 days. This effect can only be broken by us "admitting defeat"; as Fjaljure has never been cruel or murderous, only deranged and reckless, we figured this would be the best outcome we could hope for.

CURRENT SITUATION

- 3 MONTHS AGO, ALL 9 RINGS DISAPPEARED FROM THEIR STORAGE AND CONTAINMENT SYSTEM.
- FIRST TEAM UNSUCCESFUL, ALL WERE TURNED INTO XBOX 360 CONTROLLERS.
- SECOND TEAM FOUND DEAD, ALL HAD "BEEN BEATEN AT VARIOUS VIDEO- AND BOARD-GAMES". SECOND TEAM, 4 OUT OF 5 MEMBERS RECOVERING, LAST ONE STILL IN CACOON.
- THIRD TEAM ALL REGRESSED TO VARIOUS STAGES OF ADOLESCENCE, MEMORIES UNRECOVERABLE; ALL WERE ENROLLED IN LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOL.
- YOU ARE TEAM #4. IT IS BELIEVED FJALJURE IS USING STEALTH RING TO HIDE FROM HISI FATHER, WHO REFUSES TO INTERVENE UNTIL HE HIMSELF CAN FIND FJALJURE. RECOVER THE RING OF STEALTH, AND LOKI WILL HANDLE IT FROM THERE. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT MANNER OF GAMES YOU WILL FACE, NOR HOW MANY. GOOD LUCK.
